My Travel Log

I have started a travel log, not recently, but I think 2 years back. Just that now I’m putting them in a proper book.  Previously they were in sketch books and papers I found throughout the trips.

What do I put in the log?

Travel experience.  (Elephant’s hair is prickly)

Personal thoughts.  (Why these things happened?)

Do and don’ts.  (Keep the valuables intact at all time!!)

Traveling partner.  (Oh God, snoring!!)

Important matters/info.  (Malaysian Embassy)

Crap thoughts.  Hehehe.. (What if I never got down from the tram? Where I will reach?)

Most of the items were jotted down at the heat of the moment. So basically they were really funny n crappy n most of them really, really sarcastic. Arrhh…not forgetting, they were in very, very bad handwriting!!  Ahhaha…I had troubles reading them myself!

Come this weekend, there’ll be another entry. Hopefully this time it’ll be less sarcastic but more pleasant thoughts. Yea rite!!

p.s.  reading from my log, I realized that I practically can sleep almost anywhere. Airport 2 days in a row, Malaysian embassy (fell asleep while my traveling partner get the passport done), a crappy guesthouse in Macau (like those 70’s Hong Kong drama where the China> illegal immigrants lived, it was separated by the next room by a wooden wall only!!) and a roommate that snored like a train (ooorrrrnnhhh….ppphhuuuiiiii)…

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

A good read.

Straightforward.

No nonsense.

The title never got me interested.  But since I got it for free, what the heck.  Once I started, I can’t put it down and I completed the book in 3 days (ß which is extremely fast at my reading speedometer)

Seeing the world from an autistic child perspective, everything is either a YES or a NO.  There’s nothing in between.  One incident in the middle of the night made him discovered the world and we discovered him along with his journey.

I particularly like this line,

The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes”,

a sentence somewhere in the book where the child describes Sherlock Holmes, his favourite character.  Very true indeed.

No spoilers here.  Read it on your own.

Why I always feel sleepy at one o’clock regardless daytime or nighttime?

Of course at night is acceptable.  But, daytime?  Oh man, it is so hard to keep the eyelids up.  I’m trying really hard to keep my @@ open.  It got worse especially after a heavy lunch. Heavy lunch = heavy eyelids. (Haha…I could get a Nobel prize for discovering the equation). Bah.. I thought of skipping lunch (of course I will take a heavy breakfast during 10am break), but then I will get hungry at one o’clock. That’s even worse cos I can’t think straight when I’m hungry!!

So I would rather suffer from heavy eyelids than not thinking straight.  I’m currently trying to beat the heavy eyelids by investing to the coffee vending machine in my office.  And I realized that the vending machine guy came to top up the coffee powder every two days.  I’m guessing that the people in my office suffer from heavy eyelids syndrome, just like me!

Yawn….
