Paragliding - What a ‘Disasterous’ outing..

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Yeap, it’s correct..it’s disasterous but I’m still fine coz nothing happened!!  Exactly, nothing happened!!

It started on the wrong side from the very beginning.  We were supposed to meet in RMC at 8am but due to some marathon going on, some of the members got stuck in KL due to road closer.  Next, when we reach Banting, it started to rain!  Nothing could go worse from there.  Ok fine, we watched the video in the meanwhile.  Sun was shining brightly when we finished the video.  Yippee..I thought, but when we were up at the hill..all we got was wind, wind, wind and more wind.  There’s no way we could paraglide in this weather.  So we waited and waited and waited under the sun until some of us got hungry and went out for lunch.  About an hour of waiting, the wind finally got calm and yes we could paraglide finally!  There were 7 of us and there were some others from dunno where, so the instructor can’t fly tandem with all of us.  Arrangement wasn’t done quite what we thought could have been better.  So only 3 of us got to do the tandem flight.  Not to mention that there was no more wind after that so the remaining 4 have to decide whether to do it again the next day or sometime in the future.  I decided not to go the next day so that the others could carry on with their solo flight (ahem..so good of me..ahhaha..).

That’s the ‘disasterous’ paragliding that I almost got myself into on Saturday.  Will definitely fly one day!!

Happy thoughts…

Often I read people’s blogs that most of them contained angry, frustration, sad moments.  Why can’t they share happy moments?  We tend to shy away from sharing happy, glorious stuff with other, I find that.  Why?  Are we being arrogant or as the Malay saying ‘Masuk bakul angkat sendiri’ if we do that?  Nah.  To make ourselves feel good everyday, I think we must be proud of actions we had chosen to take.  Small achievements are fine.  They are achievements anyway.  Like me, if I want to think of my good moment up until now, it would be ‘I was out of the bed early today and managed to make my own breakfast and not late for work!’

It’s Monday and a long way to go before weekend.  Must boost up the happy thoughts.  Otherwise, I’ll be grumbling too.

Happy thoughts…happy thoughts…Oh..oh ohh…I’m in la-la land..

:)

I feel good..na na na na na

Countless times that I have received forwaded pictures about the stupidness/carelessness/idiotism of a driver could be on the road.  But never I thought that it could happened right under my nose.

Check the picture out?  This was 2 days ago in my office carpark.  How much force does the Accord need to actually push the stationery Waja up the ramp onto such a steep end?  It was either the driver had a very bad driving skills, or the driver had such a vengeance towards the Waja owner.  Perhaps the Accord driver had a very, very bad cramp on the right leg and accidently pressed the accelerator.
